Yorkshire Rural Awards

Our work in conservation and regeneration of the land and buildings down at the farm has been recognised! The prestigious Yorkshire Rural Awards – the only of their kind, dedicated to celebrating the Yorkshire countryside – awarded us ‘Farm Business of the year’ at a ceremony hosted by John Craven OBE last Thursday at the Harrogate pavilions. Although we faced very stiff competition in the Farm category, a wonderful evening was crowned when we were revealed as the winner of the award. The sponsor of the category said  ‘The award demonstrates the very best of what can be achieved and provides a benchmark by which all farm businesses can be judged.’ 

We are very proud of receiving this honour and will continue to keep developing and improving the farm. Lambing has now finished and as you can see, seed drilling the next harvest is well under way. Work on regeneration of the outbuildings will begin in the near future, watch this space for updates!
